Jonny Come Lately
The New Kid In Town
As some of you already know I'm quite a big Pink Floyd fan and I have been meaning to post in this thread for some time - I've just never got round to it!
I actually only own five of their 14 studio albums (Atom Heart Mother, Meddle, The Dark Side Of The Moon, Wish You Were Here and The Wall), although I would definitely count the last four of those among my favourites, with DSOTM and WYWH perhaps being my two absolute favourites by anyone.
In any case, I was reading the newspaper this morning and I noticed among the list of people with birthdays today was none other than David Gilmour, who has turned 68.
I thought I'd celebrate his birthday with a couple of videos showcasing his fantastic guitar playing on a couple of acoustic versions of Pink Floyd classics.
David Gilmour - Echoes Acoustic Version
(Also features the late Rick Wright on keyboards)
David Gilmour - Shine On You Crazy Diamond Acoustic Version
(Also features Dick Parry on saxophone)
