Bumped into this while looking up articles on music.....might interest PF fans,,,,,they go through all of Floyds songs and comment and rate on them....interesting at times and info also on how some of the songs came about etc.

I do appreciate their efforts but once I saw two songs from The Final Cut near the ten worst, I lost complete interest.
For me, many of the songs on Piper At The Gates of Dawn and Saucerful Of Secrets have lyrics that are uninteresting and primitive by comparison to many other Pink Floyd songs. They are just rhyming words in psychedelic fashion of the period.
Bah!

Well - music is subjective! PERSONALLY, FOR ME, I would put the title track of The Final Cut firmly in the top ten and The Gunner's Dream somewhere in the top twenty, Fletcher Memorial somewhere below but still NOT in "worst" part of the list. And just those, no more from TFC. ALL IMHO.

And just like you, I don't like Psychedelic Floyd nearly as much as what came after.

But over the years I have learned that the mighty Duke was wrong, there only two kinds of music, NOT good and bad, but the one I like and the one I don't. Bad or good has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with as there is no standard measurement of those. ALL SUBJECTIVE! :)
