I am being serious and "Crazy Train" will ALWAYS hold a very special place in my heart. It's the song that single handedly got me interested in rock music.

It has different meanings for different people. That would be a good topic here. The one song that got you into rock music, hmm. I know what bands got me into rock music (Metallica, Guns N Roses, Nirvana, and AC/DC) but I can't think of one song in particular.

About Diary...I found the 95 remaster used about a month ago. I didn't want to shell out $17 or whatever for the new one. I only payed $3. :D

Diary is such a good album. No Rest For The Wicked is underrated. "Fire in the Sky", "Tattooed Dancer", "Bloodbath in Paradise", "Breaking All the Rules", love it.

Are these the Sharon Osborne remasters where Bob Daisly (and possibly Lee Kerslake) are replaced with hacks like Rudy Sarzo?

What awful versions of great songs.

Like Sox said, they were the 2002 versions. I read about those beforehand so I wouldn't have to waste my money on something that was not the original. They recently remastered Diary and Blizzard again. However, this time it was the original sound remastered instead of having Mike Bordin and Rob Trujillo as replacement players who weren't on the original albums. It always should be left untouched. No replacement players please. :mad

Have you ever heard him play?

Anyway, it is good to hear the new rematsers are from the originals. I might actually buy them if that is the case.

I don't think Sarzo was on Diary at all...unless I've been wrong all these years. I thought it was just their photographs...his and Tommy's...but Lee and Bob's tracks were on the album.

The new remasters DO have Lee and Bob's work back in tact. Yeah the re-masters prior to these were AWFUL...the bass and drums did NOT fit at all and I really didn't care for airbrushing Bob out of the back cover of that version of Blizzard. In the process they airbrushed Randy out too...and REALLY?? That's just so wrong on sooo many levels.

I also don't see Sarzo as a hack. He's a killer bass player. :grinthumb
