    I just got through this entire thread and am un crossing my eyes :oyea:

    Ok I went with Maiden basd on numbers alone. The sales were/are high and w/o media hype or assistance.

    Just curious MP. Why the cross eyes?

    I thought you as musician would grasp the question rather easily and thought you would base your answer on musical merit such as composition, song structure, lyrical content, influences and influenced, era, etc.

    I'd say Genesis has been the most influential, especialy the 70's albums. Even thou a lot of bands these days are reluctant to admit it :rolleyes:
