I have always liked their version of this song. I don't watch 'official' videos very often, so I tend to forget how sad this video really is.

Saw this posted on FB earlier today. The 'official' banner or poster for tonight's show in Hamburg, Germany

I thought it was cool, it's worth sharing.

I know I'm going to get a lot of flak for this, but I'm just being honest. I first heard Metallica when I was 16 and I found them too serious. They were the hardest band for me to get into. They weren't fun like Kiss and Van Halen. A lot of Metallica's songs have some really heavy themes. I used to think their lyricists were depressed or bipolar.

It was a long time before I appreciated metal other than Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and a little later on, Savatage.

Now I think Metallica is the best of the best as far as US metal bands go.

If anything their diverse lyrics are one of their strengths. They were at the time against all those glam driven bands especially lyrically like thrash in general was in the 80s.

I am REALLY liking the posters that they are putting out on this tour. Seems as though it's a different one for every city they are stopping at.

Here's another cool one from this weekend in Stockholm:
