In the computer room, I have my CDs arranged horizontally.

In the Music Room, I have my CDs arranged vertically.

Nothing special. First I put them in alphabetical order, then which ever cd I played last, the case goes on top of the stack, ect. Same for records and tapes.

I have both my CDs and records organized by artist name. I want to organize each artist's album in chronological order, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

CDs in crystal cases are arrange alphabetically by artist.

And to answer the earlier poster, Neil Young is under Y but Captain Beefheart is under B and Jethro Tull under J.

Promos are kept separately as they are usually in cardbord sleeves, and recent ones are separate from the rest. CDs ripped from the original vinyl are separate as well as they are in plastic wallets.

Oh - and the Vinyl is also alphabetic by artist....

And all the 45's are up in the roof!

I just got my Cds back. I had been traveling for the last 8 months and they are all out of order. This is going to take a long time to arrange them. I have about 2400 Cds .

I used to put mine in order but that is, well, just to orderly. Now I put all the songs on my ipod and throw the cd's in a box. Life is to short.
