Guns N’ Roses and the Who have confirmed that they will team up to perform together at the Estadio La Plata in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

According to a report from Blabbermouth, this could be the first show of a joint South American tour, which will feature additional dates in Brazil, Peru and Chile. However, there is as yet no confirmation of this from either of the bands involved.

Since reuniting with founding members Slash and Duff McKagan in April of 2016, Guns N’ Roses’ Not In This Lifetime.. tour has grossed nearly a quarter of a billion dollars. The group will return to North America for another 16-date leg of the tour this summer, beginning July 27 in St. Louis. You can get show information and tickets at their official website.

The Who will also be performing stateside this summer, with 14 North American shows currently lined up for July and August including a six-night residency in Las Vegas.

Interestingly, Guns N’ Roses have been performing a cover of the Who’s 1971 single “The Seeker” at many shows on the Not In This Lifetime tour. Naturally, this raises the possibility of an on-stage collaboration between the two groups, although Rose might first have to forgive Who frontman Roger Daltrey for labeling his recent stint filling in for AC/DC‘s temporarily banned from performing singer Brian Johnson as “karaoke.”

At their peak, they're both great bands. Completely different eras of course.

I wouldn't expect bands separated by two full decades, each very much representative and indicative of their era, to fit well enough together. But I actually think this is a very fair fit here. They're both rambunctious, rebellious rock n roll with a punkish kind of straight-forwardness.
