Personally, I have to say that of all of the newer music that I wasn't aware of, or bands/artists/albums I wasn't familar with, the best one that I have found would be Black Stone Cherry, introduced to me by none other than Magic. :D

What a fantastic band. I still haven't picked up their third album yet, but the first two have gotten quite a bit of play both in the car and while at work.

I have to add another band to this list: Zebra.

Awesome songs and a great singer who can really hit those high notes. Who's Behind The Door, Your Mind's Open, Tell Me What You Want...how did these guys not make it big?

This should come as no surprise to anyone....

My favorite band discovered through CRF, thanks to Sooty, without question:

These cats have actually wedged their way in among Aerosmith, KISS, The Coop, Uncle Ted, The Boss, etc, etc, as permanent fixtures on my all time favorite list. I can't see them going anywhere any time soon.

You know how you have funny bone? Well, these guys struck my music bone. Don't know why, don't really care, either:grinthumb

One of the better newer bands that I've discovered thanks to this site is a fairly little known band called Blindstone

Check these guys out. I picked up their 3rd album, Rise Above and absolutely love it. Great guitar work, definitely heavily influenced by some 70's and 80's guitarists. For a trio, these guys are damn good.
