You know S&L, I do have a few "Pops", once in a while and play an old compilation CD that has some...Disco songs...not often but once in a blue moon...:gnite:

Ah, Electric Light Orchestra...

I love "Roll Over Beethoven" (so amazing that it's almost as popular with me as the Beatles version of the same song! :)) "Rock and Roll Is King" and "Don't Bring Me Down" the best (though I've never worked out who "Bruce" is in Don't Bring Me Down :p)

It was originally a German word for greeting Gruß (Grooss). Everyone misinterpreted the word as Bruce so Jeff Lynne actually began to sing the word as Bruce for fun at live shows.

A fantastic band IMO, my older brother got me into them really. He used to play 10538 Overture all the time and it just grew on me. I saw the mark ii line up and though they were brilliant without Jeff the sound was not quite ELO. My top albums are ...
