Glad other people then me like it. A lot of people bash the hell out of that album same with Blooddrunk and hell they even say Relentless sounds too watered down.

Are You Dead Yet has the classic Children of Bodom sound that any fan would undoubtedly enjoy. I've been hearing that about Relentless as well, I personally don't understand that, I thought it was and is a great album. One of their best, easily.

As far as a somewhat watered down sound goes I do agree Blooddrunk was, that one was definitely not their better moments even though I like the album but there was a huge sound difference between that and Relentless.

I agree. Musically though, the album is pretty good. There are a few songs that I remember that I like from that album.

They also did a really good job at covering Ghost Riders In The Sky

I listened to that before I listened to Ghost Riders.

A good example of them sorta losing their touch on the album would probably be this:

Not to mention there's not even an intro to the song. :heheh:

Yeah that was the weak moment for me lol
Thats why I love Hate Me, it has a classical sounding and scary opening.
Hell the early stuff was very black metal influenced.

Hate Me is probably the most played song out of anything I have for Bodom. The whole song is perfect from start to finish.

Did you know Alexi Laiho had a stint in Impaled Nazarene?
Some of his riffing definitely comes from that stint.

I had no idea. You learn something new everyday. Laiho is an extraordinary guitarist and growler, i've always loved his vocals, regardless of album.

Also, i'm giving Hate Crew Deathroll a bit of a listen tonight before I go into some softer music. This album rocks so hard.

Amazing.
