This year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony was already set to go forward without nearly half of its 2014 class members – including Kiss, Linda Ronstadt and the late Kurt Cobain of Nirvana. Now, Cat Stevens maybe be bowing out as well.

Stevens, known today as Yusuf Islam, is reportedly “undecided” about making the trip from Britain to Brooklyn’s Barclays Center next month, according to ShowBiz411.com’s Roger Friedman. He cites a conversation with a “close friend” as his source.

Best known for 1970s-era hits like ‘Peace Train,’ ‘Wild World’ and ‘Morning Has Broken,’ Stevens’ most recent studio effort was 2009′s ‘Roadsinger’ — part of a run of more than a dozen albums that has followed his conversion to Islam and subsequent name change.

Kiss has said it would not perform this year after a dispute over who will be inducted. Ronstadt announced her retirement last year due to her battle with Parkinson’s disease. Cobain killed himself in 1994. If Islam decides not to attend, that leaves the Rock Hall with Hall & Oates, Peter Gabriel and the E Street Band as the only inductees who will perform.

I hope he doesn't play. Hell, I hope he doesn't even show up. Not anything against him, but for the purpose of any sort of stand against this BS organization is OK by me

I really liked Cat Stevens early records, right up to Izitso after that I didn't keep track of him and found it amazing he gave up everything moved to the Middle East and took up begging as a career.

Doesn't matter to me whether he shows up or not.
