Hell, they created a whole new genre and members of that band, (Gene Clark, Chris Hillman and Gram Parsons), were instrumental in starting the whole country rock genre as well. Hey, I didn't know The Byrds recorded a version of "From A Distance"! It was a new song for their boxset in 1990! Great version!

Not meaning to go off base, but anyone ever here The Ramones cover of My Back Pages??

As a cover it would go back to Bob Dylan for credit, but they took more from the Byrds rendition, IMO. Very influential band The Byrds were.

I remember that version, I saw them live around 1990, very good, I had the box set and then sold it as I had all the remasters Great version

What a great version, the album Acid Eaters is a classic, I so miss them!!!
