I like to play "guess the Band" with the kids when they are over (I play a song and ask them to guess who it is), and all the kids know Sabbath, especially the Ozzy years.

I can play anything by Sabbath from 1970 to 1983 for my son and he' know who it is, and which singer it is. That's muh boy!

One of the cooliest songs that Sabbath did in my book was "Planet Caravan"


I never hear that song get much mention..

I even like the cover version that Pantera did..

Into The Void, War Pigs, Paranoid, The Wizard, and Sweet Leaf are my favorites.

I love these covers as well.

I loved that Soundgarden cover Comfy, as for Black Sabbath, well, they were the first
[major] live band I saw. Can you imagine that? This kid, a concert virgin, just a few feet
away from Ozzy and the Sabs?

My favourite band of all time. No question.

^^Tony, Geezer and Vinny said a fond and very emotional farewell to Ronnie at Victoria Park (High Voltage Festival) last summer, and Glen Hughes did a stellar job on vocals. The crowd was very respectful during their show. I hope the band can roll on but filling the gap Ronnie left will be quite a task.
