^^^ MP: Exactly!!!! And if Gene's love of the Three Stooges makes some "Kiss fans" ashamed to be fans, then so long, see ya, don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya.

Me? I'm happy to say I love Calling Dr Love (as I love just about everything on this album).

Lynch...don't take my dislike of ''Calling Dr. Love'' personal...I hated the song for many years. Although, I admit liking it at one time...to be honest.

And I don't think the line ''And even though I'm full of sin
In the end you'll let me in'' is very Stooge like. :)

:cheers2

no, the line isn't stoogelike at all, just the title of the song itself came from a Three Stooges film, the one that MP referred to above.

It's a clever tune in a twisted clever sort of way. From what Gene said he was watching the short in an Indiana Holiday Inn and started jotting down Calling Dr. Love right then.

Dr. Love, without hesitation.

There are a few different versions, but the original has always been the best. That big, wailing note Ace bends to start the solo is sooo cool.

He also tears it up on Makin' Love

As a 70'S Kiss fan, I gotta say ''Calling Dr. Love'' is kind of embarrassing and is probably one of many reasons why some people never took KISS seriously.
This a million times over! Never liked that song and never will and I was a dyed in the wool Kiss freak from about '74 on (possibly 75 but I remember the 'new' album being Dressed to Kill).

I want you and Makin Love are great tracks that are like a breath of fresh air when I hear them but I'm having a really hard time picking a best out of about 4 or 5 songs from that album. A really cool disc that is always welcome to my ears.
