Not sure how I missed this thread being a prog fan.....but a good list though there are a few I would disagree with.
1970 ELP Lucky Man ...not Genesis Knife
1972 CTTE Yes ...not Tull TAAB
1973 Time -Floyd ...not Tull Passion Play
1974 KC Starless ...not Yes Relayer
1979 Comfortably Numb-the Wall -Floyd ....not Supertramp Logical song
1986 Red Rain Gabriel....not Genesis Land of Confusion

the later choices up to 2025 are all solid but a few I would change... like Dream Theater mentioned above...but we all have our favorites so,,,,,,
the next list is 20 lps that define the history of prog...scroll down...a good list.
btw Prog Rock Archives has a list for all the years ..put in a year and hit submit... and an all time list also for the last 50 years or so..... heres the link.....

Not sure how you don't give 1992 to Dream Theater.
Images and Words should be there somewhere for 92
It was number 2 on Prog Rock Archives that year...Hybris by Anglagard was no 1....
Loudwire gave it to Echolyn -Suffocating the BLoom (3 on PA list)..a good prog lp but Images and Words is more accesible imho.

I can't do every year but the really only 'progressive rock band' that I rate was the Dutch band from the 'land of tulips' FOCUS back in the early/mid 1970s although a couple of the guys reformed with two newer guys and they are still going these days anyway for 'progressive rock heaven' try out a 30-minutes track called 'Anonymous II' from the Focus III album from 1972 or the bands 'signature' piledriving song from 1971 the famous 'Hocus Pocus' clocking in at around 6 minutes & 40 seconds of electric guitar 'fretboard fireworks' from guitar virtuoso Jan Akkerman ;)

Some ELP tracks across the all the albums are ok such as Lucky Man, Take A Pebble & Hoedown but some of the 'classical stuff' from Keith Emerson gets a bit HEAVY on the ears

Always liked Focus,,,their first 4 are all good.... -Hamburger Concerto- made the top 100 by Prog Archives at no 94. Considering how many great prog lps there are that's pretty good imho.
