I'll echo the Eagles DVD, I watched both parts as the story of the band unfolded along with the tour they were doing.(Are they still on tour or have they finished?)
I can't fault Frey and Henley for being tyrannical at times, they have been through the school of hard knocks especially being betrayed(taken advantage of) by David Geffen early on. What I found mind boggling was that after the Eagles got shafted by Geffen, Don Henley signed with him again during his solo career, then another messy lawsuit unfolded as he found out Geffen hadn't changed one bit from the days of the Eagles on his label.
I don't really dig too deep into bands generally, I sort of want to have the 'illusion' of just the musical magic they left behind, finding out all their flaws takes the luster off for me usually.
Happy ending though, band was more popular than ever selling out all over the world and their music still holds up.
