Here's my two favorite covers of the the Focus tune, Hocus Pocus. Both are great metal versions of this tune. The Helloween one has some funny/goofy little nuiances to it that make it kinda interesting. Gary skips the yodelling, but it doesn't take away from it at all. Great driving / rocking version by Gary! Helloween's is closer to the original with keeping the yodelling more intact.

I've always liked the Miser version of The Cranberries' Zombie. It has a lot more energy than the original and rocks pretty hard!

And I'm going to put Lovesong by Adele in here too. Woman can sang! She really brought it with this song.

Apparently Nektar are working on a covers album:

2. Riders on the Storm (originally by the Doors)
3. Dream Weaver (originally by Gary Wright)
4. Fly Like an Eagle (originally by Steve Miller)
5. Wish You Were Here (originally by Pink Floyd)
6. For the Love of Money (originally by the O'Jays)
7. Blinded by the Light (originally by Bruce Springsteen and covered by Manfred Mann's Earth Band)
8. Sirius (originally by Alan Parsons Project)
9. 2000 Light Years From Home (originally by Rolling Stones)
10. I'm Not in Love (originally by 10cc)
11. Out of the Blue (originally by Roxy Music)
12. Old Man (originally by Neil Young)
13. Africa (originally by Toto)
14. Can't Find My Way Back Home originally by Blind Faith)
15. Spirit of the Radio (originally by Rush)

I'm hoping this is a hoax, or the mighty have fallen.

Wow, that is quite a list of covers. I wonder (if this is a reality) what kind of money they are shelling out for the rights to these songs.
