I wonder (if this is a reality) what kind of money they are shelling out for the rights to these songs.

I assume it costs less than writing, arranging, rehearsing, touring, publishing, etc your own songs.

In my opinion, it's better then the original by Nine Inch Nails.

I have to say I enjoy some of the Nirvana covers, like Plateau and Lake Of Fire.

not the best recording, it sounds like the person who made this 'video' played an LP and recorded it with an external recording device, plus it speeds up in one spot towards the end which is really wonky. Otherwise, great cover IMHO.
