Well... maybe 999,999. "War" was my Best Album pick for 1983, as well.

I concur. "War" and "The Unforgettable Fire" were their two best, imo.

That album impressed the hell out of me. I once played it back after not having listened to it in years (1994 - 2004 was the gap) and I was like, what in the world were they doing in the studio?? It amazed me. What a great pick!

Toto and Genesis' eponymous release are definitely strong runner-ups.

Metal Health sure was a massive turning point in rock music. 1st metal album to ever hit no.1 !

That rules. I loved that record. My dad was addicted to that tape; he played it Every Day at one point when it was new. =)
