Re: Accept appreciation thread

My two favorite albums by Accept would easily be Balls To The Wall and Metal Heart. I played the everlovin' shit out of both of those in the 80's.

Pretty damn good band. Unfortunately in America, they seemed to always be a perenial "opening act". I don't ever remember them being a headliner (but I could have missed it).

A couple of my favorite tunes by the band:

EDIT - Grooveshark links weren't working - Riff Raff

I haven't listened to any of their stuff in quite a while. I'll need to go dust off these CD's sometime soon and give myself a refresher.

By the way, I DARE ANYONE to listen to Balls to the Wall and NOT bang their head a bit. I just don't know if it's possible. Especially the chorus!

Re: Accept appreciation thread

I had Breaker on cassette when it came out 1n 1981, I remember blasting the opening track Starlight and being blown away by it.

A great band with so many great albums.

Had the pleasure of seeing them live in 1986 on the Russian Roulette tour.

Their best albums IMO are.....

Balls To The Wall
Breaker
Restless And Wild
Russian Roulette
Metal Heart

I like the fact that the bassist Peter Baltes gets to sing on some of their great earlier tracks....

Seawinds
The King
Breaking Up Again
No Time To Lose

Re: Accept appreciation thread

Blood of the Nations is by far my favourite Accept album, going through all their older albums too, which are decent but Blood is just a brilliantly produced album.
