I just wanted to hear some input on the band ACCEPT from you guys..
I'm not going to say they are imitations of AC/DC.. But I like the sound of this German band.. From what I've heard recently UDO DIRKSCHNEIDER was replaced by MARK TORNILLO. There is a new album which has been completed and talk of a tour is being discussed..

So any thoughts or video's you would like to post.. Have at it..

I saw them live way way back when "Balls to the Walls", was released, I consider that a metal anthem and by far the most memorable song they recorded.

I am kind of lacking in my knowledge about them though Thumper.

I bet you had a blast!! They are a bit more heavier than AC/DC.. The new singer sounds just like UDO which I have mixed feelings about.. But I'm sure if others will post their favorite video's by them, this thread will be a hoot to hang out in and enjoy some ACCEPT!!!

Oh Man.. Very tough question for me to answer since they have quite a few good songs strung out through a few LP's.. But since Balls to the Walls is like you said a Metal Anthem for them.. I would give that album being the most popular of their catalog.
But I can listen to any of their stuff and enjoy it!!

I have heard of this band, but not real familiar with their works. From the videos you guys have posted they sound like a souped up AC/DC with a little W.A.S.P thrown in.

And of course, I dont know UDO either.

I think what I will do, after looking up the discography is get the "best of" compilation, and the 1986 album "Russian Roulette" since it is rated so highly in the bands native Germany.

Simply a matter of personal taste Taha, maybe you just don't like the vocals...

I have so many good bands from the continent now, that I will give Accept another chance, it's been a long long time since I played their music.

That's a good comparison Magic. Very true!!
I think your doing the right thing getting a greatest hits cd. I think things would have been different if you were into them back in the 80's. Most likely if your into a band you pick up any new LP's they come out with.. Greatest hits take the most popular tunes. I like some of the Deep cuts though.. That's why I buy the albums..
