Metallica , has a handful of out right , Total Shit albums.
I mean , as long we are throwing our grievances about bands around, 140 $ for remasters, demos , outtakes and probably an assortment of bad to crappy sounding live recordings.
Metallica can shove it where the sun doesn't make an appearance as far as I'm concerned.
:p

I like Metallica and their orchestral early albums but a lot of their discography is of poor quality. I never really got into them as much as Megadeth, whose discography is much more accessible and listenable.

The rivalry is unbecoming at this point, anyway. Dave made the better band out of immense downfall and concocted emotions but I'm glad they're on better terms now. They deserve each other lol.

As for remasters, Metallica is better at rejuvenating their tunes than Megadeth. Dave kind of flunked on drums on a lot of the remastered content.
Better is a term I'd rather avoid as that too is part of that ridiculous rivalry plus its subjective as I have now come to like albums like Load, Reload lol.
Hardwired was kickarse too.

Speaking of St. Anger being dreadful.... earlier today, I had some music playing on shuffle and All Within My Hands came on.

What a SHIT song. The drums at the beginning are the epitome of how shitty that album was and just how bad Lars could be as a drummer. That being said, how did James, Kirk and Bob Rock all think those drums sounded ok enough to release it? I've seen the documentary, I know about the infighting, etc... still, how can such an iconic group listen to that and shrug it off as "we were trying something different"?

Absolutely. *******. Brutal

Seriously, I've heard better snare drum sound from a grade school band.
That and the fact Kirk just rolled over easily over no solos being used. He may as well have not played on the album.

The remastered Kill Em All and Ride the Lightning sound awesome and am glad I bought those. Can only hope being the album turns 30 next year that Justice will get the needed re-do on the bass mixing and even the drum sound to be less tinny.

Reload took me a bit to like. Still in the bottom 3 or 4 albums for me, but at least I like some of it. When Load first came out, I hated it. But I was determined to figure out how they could put out such a weird album, so I kept listening. It didn't take long and I really got to like Load. There's some average stuff on it, but some really cool tracks imho.
