Just out of curiosity, why is the RHCP thread in the 80's forum? Sure they formed in the 80's section? Sure, they formed in the 80's, but they didnt break until the 90's. Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, and Nirvana formed in the 80's too, but they broke in the 90's... same with RHCP... and those other bands are all in the 90's section.

I had this in the 90's when I started but other opinions wanted them when they started. I personally agree that they truly broke in the 90's and I prefer that sound to any of their early albums. The whole timeline thing is a stupid formality though IMO. I couldn't care less wheree this thread ends up as long the fans can find it and talk about a cool band. The fact that it has it's fans divided just means they expand enough to please more than one type of listener. I prefer from Blood Sugar Sex Magik on as it was more song and melody structured rather than just messy funk jams. I mean they still kept the funk but IMO they became far better songwriters once they hit their 90's stride!

Somebody explain to me how Josh Klinghoffer got inducted into the Rock 'N' Roll Hall Of Fame in 2012 at the age of 32. He hasn't been in the Business 25yrs.

Could be because he played on an album, but Dave Navarro wasn’t inducted with the band, even though he spent five years with the band and appeared on an album with three hit singles.

Last night I was listening to Funkadelic.
Than I just searched a live version of "Good To Your Earhole", and I saw this

I forget they played this beautiful song. I don't know why Arik Marshall didn't match with the band... He was not bad, but if I remember well, Flea said on a old interview there was no creativity with Arik. (or something like this)

What I've heard of Arik, has always been good (IMO).

When I got together with my Wife,Her x husband left the CD Blood Sugar Sex Magik behind&I "Inherited" it so to speak

I used to love the old Chilis. (Freaky Styley, TUMPP, BSSM, ...)

But the last album is (IMO), the best since 1999.

If you never heard one of their great B-Sides, there's one of my favorite new B-Side, called "Strange Man". I really like all their B-Sides (Melancholy Mechanics, Bob, Blues For Meister, ...)
