What was your musical WTF moment of 2012?

Ace in the Hole
This album came out Last Year (2011), though I got it this year and it was released in the US this Year:
Critics loved it, though I've listened to this album (perhaps not enough) and given this is their second album, it's much different from their first album Sift The Noise (2008), I'm WTF at the Monkey.
I don't know maybe I'm overreacting - if this were 1966 and I was comparing The Byrds - Fifth Dimension album to their two previous albums Mr. Tambourne Man & Turn!,Turn!,Turn! in 1965, I might of been saying WTF then as well, though I like all those albums even though they all sound different and came out shortly after one another.
Maybe it's just another R.E.M. - Greatest Hits like albums that it'll take me time to adjust, though critics are sometimes to quick to praise something.

As far as the biggest WTF moment, musically, it's gotta be when Springsteen & McCartney got the plug pulled over there across the pond.

Probably not the biggest WTF moment of 2012, but how about CMT Crossroads: Emmylou Harris and Mumford And Sons. I remember trying to watch all of this (which I still haven't) and just finding it to be not very good at all. Plus it didn't exactly follow the show's format.

Heck Riff - how have you managed to avoid it - even going across the city to work one day, he was appearing live on a stage in Martin Place surrounded by his adoring fans! This was before 8 in the morning.
