The tube. Can't play video games or watch the progress of a cold front on my stereo.

Although I could do without watching new TV shows, I'd keep the television for my DVD player that also plays CDs along with feature films and classic Star Trek DVDs. :grinthumb

I'd lose the T.V., my kids would be pretty upset though. As long as they could keep their computers I guess they would'nt be so upset.

The internet usually explodes with breaking news, and it usually spreads a lot faster than televised news.

Yeah but tv doesn't give you pop-ups, spyware, computer viruses, etc. and it is still better than radio! :D

I think that CNN is just as up to date with breaking news as the internet. I like to watch English news broadcasts from other countries like France, UK, Japan, China, and Russia to see stuff that is not covered on US channels. They also have a different perspective on US news.

TV. Biggest reason is for a DVD player though. Movies and TV shows (both on DVD) are my biggest escape from the shit that is known as "my life". I can listen to music to get only a portion of that same escape that I get from movies.

Plus, I honestly don't listen to the stereo at all. I listen to music in the car, on my mp3 player and on my computer 10000x more than on the home stereo.
