Aretha Franklin,,,after I stopped laughing I did notice she had made the first round and was inducted...:oyea:
She is the Queen of Soul, but I would take Tina Turner over her 10/10 times myself for a R&R HOF.:grinthumb

No way, LG......Etta James blows them both away :D

^^Nope can't stand Aretha and I only like a couple of Etta James' songs, at least I enjoy Tina both with Ike and her solo career.

I think you just enjoy Tina's legs :D

At one time I was a big Tina Turner fan, but that was when she was pumpin' out some pop hits like "Tiny Dancer". Now I appreciate her work more than I can stand to listen to it. Her performance in Beyond Thunderdome was pretty awesome, though :grinthumb

No problem, Lord Grendel. Basically with the list I just want to make sure that anybody that somebody might even think about voting for is covered. In no way do I expect that many of them will ever get a single vote. After 3 weeks or so, I will thin the lists down some.

The 7 from last week are well deserved. I believe I voted for all 10 of them. I can't remember.

The winners are in for our second class of inductees. We have 8 inductees due to a tie. Here they are:

James Brown
Ray Charles
BB King
Roy Orbison
Fats Domino
Muddy Waters
Carl Perkins
Bo Diddley

Congrats to them and thanks to the 14 voters. I'm very happy with the turnout thus far. Coming right up, look for the week 3 poll.
