^^You should consider extending your deadline a couple of days, considering it's Thanksgiving weekend and people are busy with family and traveling.

Just my thoughts it is your poll.

I have to say I don't feel a lot of those artists to be rock 'n roll HOF material, not to be hung up on genrification but if it was a general Music HOF that would be a lot easier.

Regardless I'll try to come up with my picks later today.

^^ No doubt. How the hell did Aretha Franklin get voted in? She isn't rock, but she is a mammoth bitch who makes me want to hurl. The R-n-R HOF is really the POP music HOF and will take just about anybody...unless they really rock.

Again, it's all a matter of opinion, and more people were of the opinion that Aretha Franklin deserved it. I'm sorry that it doesn't match your opinion. When you vote, your voice can be heard, but it's still only one vote.

As for an extended deadline, I thought about it, but most of the activity took place in the early part of the week and we now have 13 votes this week, and I doubt an extension would change much at this point. The next poll will open tomorrow.

Lord Grendel, by "those artists" do you mean the 7 we just inducted, or the list of eligibles? If you mean the eligible list, then I agree. Plenty of those artists don't belong, and there is little worry that they will actually make it. If you mean the 7 that we inducted, I would disagree, and the forum obviously sees it differently. I think you mean the list of eligibles, so I will leave it at that.

By the way, we had 18 voters in the first week and Aretha Franklin finished in 7th place (the last inductee) with 8 votes. 8 voters thought she belonged, and that as they say, is that.

^^I was talking about the big list of artists you posted for the next round JTR,,,it seems to me they are from all different genres, but I was just making an observation it is your ball game and you can do whatever you think is right.

As far as TC's comment about Aretha Franklin,,,after I stopped laughing I did notice she had made the first round and was inducted...

She is the Queen of Soul, but I would take Tina Turner over her 10/10 times myself for a R&R HOF.
