Lots of bands/artists have songs that they were disappointed with and have written off in their collection.
Paul McCartney hated "The Long and Winding Road" from Let it Be, and Billy Joel called "We Didn't Start the Fire" a novelty song.
I'm only skimming the surface, but what if you happen to like a certain song and your favorite artist admits publicly that he/she hates that song and says its terrible. Do you say "screw you, I like it goddammit" or do you agree with them?
In a way, I don't know what to think when this happens. It's like you suddenly have to hate it because the writer didn't like it. What's your take on this?
EDIT: Paul didn't like what Phil Spector did to the song, I don't know what his opinion is on the original. Sorry about that.
