I'll agree that the others are good ,even awesome but still passing on Opeth

I only mentioned Akerfeldt/Opeth as an example of a band with diversity, and my personal observation that "Warbringer" if they did change things up a little(And possibly lose fans like Mud and DKW in the process) would be more successful at least commercially speaking. And many bands do die off because of the lack of revenue.

I did preface my viewpoint by admitting I am not a huge fan of thrash in general but really felt this band could go a lot further with a couple of small changes, that is all I was getting at, no disrespect to the band or their fans was intended on my part.

I feel the same about Slayer, I only listen to them when I am in a "Mud" mood for aggressive music, otherwise I never play the only album of theirs I have in the house.

How many albums have they released DKW? I am sure Mud is happy we are keeping his thread hopping.

What sparked my curiosity about "Warbringer" was someone my age on a Metal board talking about how their debut album blew him away, made him remember the glory days of the beginnings of the Thrash metal era that he grew up with and recommended this band for anyone who wants to know what Thrash was all about. So that is why I picked it up, and I admit the album cover is excellent as well so that didn't hurt at all.

Slayer is a perfect example thought of a band that never eased on their vocals. When they did a bit it was spoken words and then it turned into the hardcore shouting. Pantera is another one that did it well as well.

Phil Anselmo is one that can pull singing and shouting well IMO.

I just can't see a band with the name Warbringer with some what mellow vocals haha.

That is me.

I would still listen to them if it sounded great, but IDK if it could be pulled off with this band. That is all I am saying.

Hey guys I'm not here to join in on the debate but to comment on the music I just heard.

Holy smokes! This stuff jacks me up. From what I hear it's obvious that Slayer is the biggest influence and Exodus and Death Angel to a lesser extent.

Bring it on!

Mud I wasn't thinking of "Mellow" so much but just a slight variety between his "Bombastic" delivery and a less forceful one, like many other metal vocalists use in all kinds of different genres.

The problem is though with Thrash it is mostly a "bombastic" delivery. That is where the influence of punk and hardcore punk comes in.

I just can't see a band like this having a different vocal style.

I get that, I didn't intend for DKW to think I was trying to Ruin your thread, just thinking of the possibilities for the band beyond just this one style. I think it's fun to explore stuff like that, and more than one band has changed their style along their career so you never know.
