Stevie's voice was fine - until he reached the age of puberty. His voice since then has been seriously lacking in range and in tonal quality it's not much better than a rasp.

:yuk:

 I have to agree with Fox on this one, Stevie Wonder isn't the best vocalist, but he sure is a talented musician

You've defied the odds. Somehow you've managed to mention not just one but two singers whose voices actively annoy me - those being Joni Mitchell and Stevie Wonder.

:bricks:
I have to agree with your choice of Stevie. Can't stand his voice.

1. Freddie Mercury - Enough said

2. Robert Plant - in the early days, his work on songs such as "Black Dog" and "Immigrant Song" is fantastic. Has dropped off a bit, but still great

3. John Lennon - an easily recognizable voice that stands out and is unique.

4. Aretha Franklin - the greatest of her style, without a doubt. Great singer

5. Bruce Springsteen - fantastic singer, his voice just works with his music in an amazing way.

I'm gonna have to let the Boss go from this list, coz I realized I forgot a the voice of rock and roll himself :banghead:

Love Karen Carpenter Lady.

Neil Sedaka I am a little surprised by that one, I do like a couple of his songs though.

Very tough question but I've finally decided on these five, at least for the moment. In no particular order:

Jim Morrison (Doors)
Jay Black (Jay & the Americans)
Allan Clark (Hollies)
Roger Daltrey (Who)
Solomon Burke
