60s and 70s had their share of "miss" material too. Ever heard of disco?

yea the 70's did have huge hits and misses. disco number one and the ridiculous bands that were just about jamming and soloing.

say the late 70's had a couple of good things going for it. some southern rock and punk. 80's had hardcore punk thrash metal and the grunge movement along with alternative rock starting up. 90's had good rap, good alternative and good heavy metal.

the 60's were meh. 2000's mainstream crap is just crap, but there is still horrible music.

horrible music in every era just happens to be that it all has happened more so (or at least is given more press) in the 2000's.
