What do you consider the weakest musically talented decade?

IMO, it has to be the 80's, especially the early/mid 80's. The MTV/music video pulled the recording industry out of a slow, agonizing decline financially, though musically it might have been a regressive direction(?). Later in the decade the introduction of the CD reinvigorated the consumer and the industry reaped the benefits.
So, in my summary, it was the technical advancements rather than musical talent, direction, composition, and movements that propelled the business financially. Ironically, later, technology would be the downfall.

Honestly, I don't think there has been a decade of my life that I didn't find music to enjoy. I will say, though, I am not overly fond of the 50's style music :)

The music we like, classic rock, peaked during the 70's and it's been going downhill ever since which each decade worst than the previous one. I guess that would make this decade the worst one yet.

I"m certainly not standing up for the 2000's, but Rap and Hiphop started getting popular in the late 80's and REALLY hit it's stride by the early 1990's.
