A few years back Ronnie Spector did a real cool cover of Thunder's "You Can't Put Your Arm Around a Memory"

Produced by Joey Ramone if I remember correctly. Joey was another big fan of the girl groups.

Speaking of girl groups, how many of you have the Rhino box set One Kiss Leads to Another: Girl Groups, Lost & Found? It's wonderful. What Nuggets did for the garage bands, One Kiss does for the relatively obscure girl groups. The Shangri-Las shadow looms so large over this box set too. You can clearly hear the influence they had on others during this time.

Anyway, I can heartily recommend that box set.
