Blue is less of a pop album so it gets my vote.

Adore "Tapestry",but I woefully admit I have yet to hear Joni's "Blue",which many regard as one of the very finest albums ever.I get the impression that it's a slow jazz type of thing.If I'm incorrect here,what CAN I expect when I finally snag a copy?

Of all the "singer-songwriter" albums from the early '70s, i consider this one among the best.

She got jazzy later in the '70s. On this one, it's mostly her alone with guitar or piano, accompanied by on a few tracks by another musican or two playing acoustic guitar or pedal steel.
