some very very early Alex Harvey, long before he became sensational. this from a 1964 album he put out, with his brother Les featuring on the album..Les died in 1972 when he was electrocuted on stage after touching a microphone that hadn't been earthed...this track is a cover of Jimmie Rodger's tune 'T.B.Blues.'

Alex Harvey a couple of years before The Sensational Alex Harvey Band started up....He put out an album titled 'Roman Wall Blues' and this cover of this Rolling Stones classic appeared on the album.

some more from Killing Floor, with their tune 'Lou's Blues,'...some great boogie piano here.

The Groundhogs are one of my all time favourite British blues/rock bands of the 1970s & 1980s lead by the late Tony TS McPhee in various incarnations of the band.

Favourite Groundhogs albums ALL OF THEM but I particularly like-

SCRATCHING THE SURFACE, BLUES OBITORY, THANK CHRIST FOR THE BOMB, SPLIT, WHO WILL SAVE THE WORLD THE MIGHTY GROUNDHOGS, TWO SIDES OF TONY MCPHEE, HOGWASH, SOLID, CROSSCUT SAW, BLACK DIAMOND and a handful of LIVE albums between the 1970s & 2000s.

A particular favourite of mine is RAZORS EDGE from 1984 which is a 'down and dirty electrified heavy blues/rock' cd/album and recorded in a back street studio opposite Waterloo railway station with the guys all dressed in faded denim jeans and jackets and looking the business meaning NO SHOWBIZ and NO BULLSH*T!!.
