Re: Status Quo

I adore Status Quo. I saw them four times in the seventies...in fact, my first ever concert was one of theirs. It was in 1972, I was 14 years old and after the show, I couldn't walk the next day as my legs were so sore from standing for the whole show and I couldn't hear for a week! :heheh:

Great fun to see live though! :grinthumb

Re: Status Quo

^^ I've seen that album on vinyl... 4 days ago. If I had at least £3, cause that's how much 80% of LPs cost, I would definitely get it.

Here's my #2 Quo song.

Sound Machine in the Harris Arcade used to have loads of Quo until the owner decided to do away with all the artist / genre labels so it became rows of un marked vinyl. I can spend hours looking for music in shops, but even for a small shop it took the piss.

THAT'S WHERE I BUY ALL THE VINYLS FROM! It is only 5-10 minutes from my house. :grinthumb

Saw Francis Rossi on sky arts the other day, was talking about all the drugs he did and all the groupies that came back stage, was quite funny. He said about £2000 a week was spent on drugs back in the day.

Well finally got my hands on some Status Quo. A guy my brother works with in into SQ big time. Has every album. He burned me a CD with a lot of songs on it but I have no idea what albums they are from. He did say they're from later on in their career.

How'd I do?

Shady Lady
Nightride
Too Far Gone
Rain
Whatever You Want
Don't Drive My Car
Rocker's Rollin'
Over And Done
Junior's Wailing
Baby Boy
Mystery Song
O Baby
Big Fat Mama
Hold You Back
Forty Five Hundred Times
Bye Bye Johnny

I've listened to it about 5 times through and like it. It'll do until I get some CDs rolling in.:grinthumb
