The spiritual themes of this next song make it one of my favourite early Eagles songs, combined with music that emphasises the sense of loneliness and finding the willpower to resist temptation. I tend to imagine the narrator being alone in the desert which is reminiscent of the scene of Satan's attempts to tempt Christ.
