I'll definitely seek out live albums, I prefer to go for studio works first myself.

The self-proclaimed "Official Rory Gallagher" website run by some eastern european female who goes by the name-Sinner Girl (a play on an old Taste number Sinner Boy) really sucks!!.

I was a member of this website up to about a year ago and posted 100 good posts (in my humble opinion) but after posting a valid point about of all things Rory's hair (??) my account was de-activated!!.

It appears that on this particular website you have to pay 100% blind loyalty to Mr.Gallagher any so called dis-respect shown towards him and your account is de-activated!!.

BE WARNED. :uh:

I think there is another Rory forum run by a bloke in the US. It must be really hard to discuss the life of Rory G endlessly and not get bored and start to repeat threads over and over again ............... and I don't mean that in a bad way :) That site you mentioned won't last long if it kicks members off for something so inoffensive.

Hiya Sunny, nice to hear you again, yes that particular Rory Gallagher website that i am talking about has a 'weird feel' to it, there appears to be a little group of about 3-4 regular's that only 'talk amongst themselves' and don't responded to other posts no matter how valid they mite be?.

Yes to be honest i've had enough of Rory since his death and i don't really bother to much about him now days although if i see his name mentioned in anything i'll take a look to see wots being said about him but thats about all also i must admit that the experience of the Official Rory Gallagher website has strangely "put me off" listening to any of his old records/cds anymore.

That's a shame E-Z!! :( I think I'll still be listening to Rory when I'm surrounded by great grandchildren :D

When you say your account was de-activated, do you mean you were banned :wtf:

Yes i guess so Sunny?.

The comment about Rory's hair was i thought a valid point?.

Rory Gallagher fan's will know that for the most part of Rory's career he had very long hair although around the time of the Tattoo album & Irish tour circa late 1973-74 he had his hair cut a bit shorter and styled.

Anyway fast forward to about a year or 18 months before his death and on a video/dvd that i've seen his hair (looks to me?) a lot shorter and (this is the controversial bit) also PERMED!!.

His hair looks very curly on this dvd and i believe that he had a perm done myself but someone posted on that other website that people with naturally curly hair if it is grown long the curls will fallout but if it is cut shorter again it will become curly again.

I understand that point but to me i still think that he had it 'permed' and also it's coloured a lot darker i thought and for that BANG de-activated account!!.

Crazy!!.

One of my aunties lived near where Rory lived in London and she saw him out and about occasionally. He didn't look at all well in the last year of his life and she thought he was colouring his hair a strange dark red colour - she didn't say anything about a perm but I can't see why that would upset anybody even if he did
