I always considered Chuck Berry as the King of Rock & Roll. I was fortunate to be in the front row for Chuck Berry & Joan Jett around 1987 & during "Rollover Beethoven" they were pulling people onstage & I was right next to Chuck

Chuck Berry to release new music

Chuck Berry wants to release six new tracks he’s written over the last 16 years, as he admits his career is coming to an end. The 86-year-old was honoured at the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, Ohio at the weekend, where he said: “As soon as I can get someone to guide me I want to push them out. They’re the same type of music that I have been playing.” Discussing his age he recited one of his own pieces of poetry: “My singing days have passed, my voice is gone; my throat is worn; and my lungs are going fast.” But he added that he still enjoys his regular appearances at the Blueberry Hill Club in St Louis

I read about that. I am glad he will be releasing something. There is no reason what-so-ever to keep his material hidden from his fans.

Heck, I wouldn't even mind if he released some of his outtakes....
