Eddie Van Halen a few spots below Keith Richards? Nonsense. Considering the source though, it doesn't surprise me.

Keith was pretty high up on the other list too, which is laughable. This is the same source that puts Lil Wayne and Snooki on their cover, so think about that while reading this. ;)

I put zero stock in anything that Rolling Stone has to say about rock music. Sure, they get it right once in a while (you throw enough rocks from shore, you are bound to hit water on some of them), but overall, their ridiculous agenda is laughable at the very least.

still, I do like seeing lists like this. It restores my faith in the fact that everyone's opinions stink.

:heheh:

List is varied...that much I can say. I'm not into Nirvana but Cobain as a high ranking guitar player? Maybe because of the onslaught of grunge music because of them? What?

A lot of people like Kurt's guitar playing...He may not have been Jimmy Page, but he was still a fine player.

I'm sure Cobain has his supporters and he has his merits... I'm not knocking him but just wondering why he is quite up there over the likes of more celebrated players. Cobain and his band did start that grunge genre so his influence is unquestionable.
