I've got a few songs which I think fit in with this thread.
I think I'll start with a Wishbone Ash song from Argus - I could have picked any song from this album but this is one of the highlights I think:
Throw Down The Sword - Wishbone Ash
I've posted this song elsewhere on the forum, but I think it's worth including from this thread - it's from Dire Straits' underrated and overlooked sophomore album Communique, but I think it is better than some of their later hits like Walk Of Life:
Where Do You Think You're Going? - Dire Straits
Finally, and probably a more obvious choice of band, but a song which I consider to be a lost classic - IMO this song should be on classic rock radio with the likes of Life In The Fast Lane and Already Gone. Great slide guitar by Don Felder, which earned him a full time place in the band:
Good Day In Hell - Eagles
