Oh you mean the one about how she dug her key into the side of his pretty little souped up four wheel drive, carved her named into his leather seats, took a Louisville slugger to both head lights, and slashed a hole in all four tires? My mom loves that song. That's how I know the lyrics. :heheh:

And for the record, it's not psychotic, it's girl power. ;)

I think it's a rotten message..if you get cheated on ..vandalize ! lol

Try picking a better class of guy ! He sounds like a redneck moron to begin with lol:grinthumb

Girl Power would be getting on with your life/Finding a GOOD man and and giving him the business finger when he sees you ,,happy :)

So "girl power" equates to vandalism? All that empowerment stuff is not about achievements like splitting the atom, writing a book, mapping the DNA code, etc; it's about being fee to throw hissy jealous fits and destroying things? Is that how you and your mother define girl power? Sort of like Oprah sees it? TV culture? And this mother raised you?

:wtf:

The more things "change" the more they stay the same it seems. No wonder that adage "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" is thousands of years old.

Where's Annie?

You realize of course that you just implied that finding a "good" man, however defined, is part and parcel of girl power. I would have thought that "independence" and "self sufficiency" would be a better part of the definition.

On a Misty Mountain overlooking Strawberry Fields.
My vote definitely goes to Mariah Carey, her high pitched squawking makes my ears bleed. I would rather listen to nails scraping down a blackboard for an hour than have to sit through a Mariah album. I don't like Celion Dion but at least her voice doesn't grate through me.
Mariah Carey SUCKS. She looks like a monkey, and she sings like a banshee. And she reminds me of a cheap, skanky, slut that has a nest of mites in her panties. And, she's way too stuck on herself. Most of the others you mention are awful too.

I agree. I for the life of me can't understand why so many people bought Mariah's records. Her music was undistinguished in every way.

I can't help but notice that you removed the smilies, and therefor the sarcastic implications, from my post when you quoted me, Hep. Don't twist my words. :bonk:

If my mother likes something, especially when it comes to music, then twenty to one odds say that I certainly do not.

I'm gonna have to go with TAYLOR SWIFT on this one. I know she's supposedly country but some of her stuff has crossed over to TOP 40 MU-SICK radio. I can't help but think about all the talent out there that will probably never get heard and we have to hear her crap. SHAME! SHAME!:wa

Of course, but this is a country song and if you going have country ..you gotta have a country theme ..your getting too sophistcated

Finding a good man doesn't mean to me. living off him , It means one that respects you.Doesn't cheat on you and treats like a friend..A good man as opposed to a redneck moron ..like in Carries song...

They DO exsist..you just gotta look a little harder than a bar room :)

Thats what I meant by 'GOOD MAN'

CH : I know what you mean about your mom ..mine likes that song too /thats how I KNOW about it

and I think you know what girl power is :grinthumb

This Is Girl Power to me...Carrie take notes !

Kelly Clarkson is having trouble selling gig tickets now

I predict it will be the case for Carrie Underwood soon..

Astrid....I think you're a closet American Idol fan....

You seem to know a lot about AI, for a someone who supposedly hates the show.

Just sayin'.

That's narrow minded.

The same unexplainable reason people bought Nirvana albums in the 90's.

I WOULD not bet the farm on that one Groovy !

I HATE that show ! And the only reason I know alot about it..IS BECAUSE it's impossible to get away from the ***** ! Everyone at work constantly talks about the gossip and the entire world talks about it on tv ,mags, etc

I don't have watch it {tho I was forced at my sister's house to watch it} I detest ALL reality shows. A.I. is right at the top.

If I want to see a really new musician..undiscovered talent..I go to a club . There's PLENTY of serious talent out there..paying their dues . And it isn't how short your skirt is..or how much you wiegh (Gerry Garcia was a big man/not so cute..think HE woulda made it onto A.I. ?}

talent lives on ..nobody from that show will ever see past a good 5 year run imo ..nobody has yet..

Aretha Franklin and Janis Joplin were not models but their music lives on 40 + years..talk to me when Carrie Underwood is fat and isn't so young..if she's still selling out concert...I'll eat my words :)

why is it narrowminded to want a man to treat you with respect?I think a lasting relationship is about friendship and trust. If you have common interest and you are friends..you'll treat each other well
if you base you interest on another person completely of physical attraction thats ALL you'll ever have...
thats when bordem sets in and people cheat..
I've never cheated on anyone and I've never been cheated on...

booze and drugs only confuse things and I've never woke up with someone I wouldn't be with sober !
I never met a guy in a club or a bar that was a keeper sort.

just saying..if you wanna be treated with respect..you must respect yourself first :cheers2

:heheh: So true...where I work it's the same thing. The AI fans talk about it so much in detail...they keep me well in the loop.
