It's...moving...as if it has a mind of it's own.

Just recently re-purchased this one on CD.Always a mind blower.Somehow I feel that Floyd's esoteric waters run a bit deeper here than on "Piper".I love the far out spacy weirdness of the title instrumental and "Set the Controls" as well as the terrifically inherent beauty of "See Saw"."Corporal Clegg" is inspired English cheekiness.Even the front art design smacks of a marvelous ethereal surrealism.

Yeah Saucerful never gets any respect. The title track is worth the price of admission alone, especially live.

Roger Waters and Pete Townsend("Tommy","Quadrophenia")both proudly proved themselves to possess the same depths of creativity and imagination boasted by the great classical composers at the times they conceived their masterful symphonies."The Wall",both album and film,is in and of itself its own bountiful universe full of marvelously textured movements sure to provide listeners and viewers with a most adventurous pop culture experience.

^^I like the album far more than the film HGM...the animated sequences in the movie were the best part.

Concept albums are among my favorites when well done, I don't find them ponderous or pretentious and enjoy following the story...as long as it's not too convoluted that is.
