Re: The Official Pat Benatar Thread!!

:grinthumb Thanks Metalpriest :grinthumb.

I like Get Nervous, as I feel that it was the start of a new sound for her. The title track and the single are excellent tracks, but for me my fave has to be Fight it Out,the power and emotion in that track is outstanding. The Victim is another great track. I just wish they would release a remastered version of this great album.

I have her Greatest Hits

Yep, I have this and "In The Heat Of The Night" from Pat and both are fantastic. :grinthumb

It may be a little cliche but I like "Hell Is For Children" the most from her and Pat thinks it's the most important song she's ever done. Another favorite of mine that hasn't been mentioned yet would be "Promises In The Dark".

Re: The Official Pat Benatar Thread!!

When I think of Pat Benatar, I think of the 80's, not really the 70's. (She only had one album in the 70's)

Anyway, I like her first 3 or 4 albums when she was ''rock'', then she turned too MTV pop for me.

I believe she has returned to her rock roots, but I don't really know, because 'I'm ''Out-a-Touch"

:heheh:

Crimes Of Passion is a great rock album start to finish. The first four albums are all great to me. I enjoyed Tropico too, but when she started getting more pop (granted, Get Nervous was fairly pop too) she lost some of what made her so special.

We Live For Love is another great track from her debut "In The Heat Of The Night"

EPIC!

Very Kate Bushy in the vocals...or like a heavy metal Tori Amos. :grinthumb

IN my opinion, THE single greatest female rock singer EVER! (sorry Ann Wilson fans, no disrespect to Ann who I consider #2 ;)

What a voice!

I've seen her in concert a number of times and she never disappoints.
