What's your fave rock movies and docs?

For me, in no particular order.

Almost Famous
Woodstock
Festival Express
The Boat That Rocked
Monterey Pop
Kurt Cobain: About A Son

And an honorable mention to the cool movie I saw about CBGB's recently with Alan Rickman as Hilly Kristal.:)

ok so here's some trivia about "Almost Famous" what song plays during the closing credits ?

"Feel Flows" by The Beach Boys.:)

Correct and what a great Tune !

Cameron Crowe or maybe his wife made the right call on that one. Just realized I had posted the wrong track. Surf's Up instead of Feel Flows.

The main topic of this movie one wasn't about rock, but the main setting is a record store, and there is quite a bit of emphasis on the music throughout:

Very cool movie. I only saw it right after it came out on DVD, but have been meaning to go back and revisit it for years. Thanks for the reminder, putting it back onto my Netflix list right now.

Another flick that was really cool and has a great soundtrack is this one:

Heavy Metal (1981)

The soundtrack played very well with the stories being told through this flick
