Mastodon is one of the greatest metal bands ever. Every album they've released is an album that you can play from beginning to end. That's why they're one of my favorite bands of all time. Fantastic band. Can't wait for The Hunter.

The new album is available for streaming and I must say it is good. I think everyone on here can dig it. It's very accessible.

So far I think this album is superb. Blasteroid is a fantastic song, one favourite of mine. Stargasm sounds damn good too. **** it, all the songs I have heard sound damn good so far.

The Hunter, with Mastodon's short song approach seems to come off better than thier conceptual long tracks from previous albums IMO. Heavy and harmonic. Excellent.

Crack The Skye is my favourite album by these guys, fantastic songs. These 2 are standouts for me.
