Re: Kansas
I finally picked up 1979's release Monolith on CD, the Japanese pressing of the album. I have my old vinyl copy which has seen better days, but missed this one when it was released here years ago. Nice to have my favorites all on CD in the house now.
Monolith is a harbinger of things to come, there is no doubt about Kerry's spiritualism coming to the surface more than ever before, and the album itself has a Stark/Harsh feel to it,,,I don't know how else to describe it. I also think this record was proof that the end of this incarnation of Kansas was imminent, as it turned out Kerry Livgren and Dave Hope both left after the next studio album.
A Glimpse of Home.
