I have just been watching the dvd "It Might Get Loud" :grinthumb

It features Jimmy Page, The Edge and Jack White talking about their music careers. Their jam together is definitely worth watching! Jack White is the star of the whole thing.

I love this movie. Unfortunately, I just picked up the Blu-ray and it won't play on my damn machine.

I have zero desire to see the Edge in this setting. I don't want to hear him talk or play. But the other two do intrigue me and I do have this on my list of DVD's to rent.

I LOVED this documentary! Jack was the star without a doubt, but I think that was so to stress the influence that the likes of Jimmy Page and The Edge have on modern music. I saw it as 3 generations of talent demonstrating their common threads. Like them or not, their talent, success and acclaim are undeniable.

It Might Get Loud is all about influence and what you do with it.

I haven't watched this yet... I have a feeling I won't care for it, mostly what The Edge and Jack white have to say, but it's one of those things I just don't want to not see..:heheh:

I have heard from a few folks that JW just gets complete diarrhea of the mouth about half way through and gets really obnoxious, which I can picture happening, can anyone confirm/deny this?

    :heheh:^^

I like Racentours and one of his other side projects... I despise the White Stripes, but I have very mixed feelings about JW as a person, and I guess musician too... :heheh:

I know nothing about Jack White as a person except that he is on the slightly eccentric side :D I have been listening to The Dead Weather - Horehound and love it!!!

Aren't most rock stars? :heheh: I'm not a huge White Stripes fan as far as music but on the other hand I don't care about the personalities either. If I'm enjoying what's hitting my ears I don't care if the band members have the social graces of Pee Wee Herman! :oyea:
