AC/DC: whole lotta rosie

Paul Anka: i hereby admit the following: when i was a wee wenchetta, i had this thing about the song puppy love. yes, i know. if anyone starts pickin on me, i'm gonna start singing it at the top of my one good lung.

Blue Oyster Cult: i'm gonna pick don't fear the reaper, for fairly obvious reasons, but i really should pick that song offa secret treaties that i luvvvvv, the one about being chased around by the neighbor's cat/it's so lonely in the state of maine...

Buckinghams: kind of a drag. i still have the single, too. stole it from my older sister.

Lesley Gore: it's gotta be it's my party. (does anyone else think that lesley could've played that chick barbara in the original night of the living dead?)

Junior Walker & the All Stars: shotttttgunnnnnn

Kansas: icarus: borne on wings of steel

Lynyrd Skynyrd: hate to be so cliché, but it really is free bird. the song is a masterpiece. the real trick would be pickin my *second* favorite skynyrd song.

Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels: devil with a blue dress on

Nirvana: heart shaped box. yeah.

Police: synchronicity II. yeah².

Otis Redding sittin on the dock of the bay. sniffff.

Carly Simon that's the way i've always heard it should be.

Steely Dan: i guess i can't pick their ENtire debut album, can't buy a thrill. so i'll go for dirty work. if i'm going off that album, i'll pick my old school, which has some of my fave guit-riffin ever to be found in the dan cannon.

ZZ Top: hoo boy. this is gonna be tough. ummmm. well, i'm tempted to go with my first love, waitin for the bus/jesus just left chicago, but i also have a major addiction to tush and my head's in mississippi. to name a few. oh, and all of the first album. oh dear.

I'm waiting for someone to free Otis Redding from the stranglehold that "(Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay" has around his neck.

well, if i could be famous for one song, dock of the bay would be a damn good one. there are much worse strangleholds, in other words. i mean, mike oldfield has put out, like, what, thirty albums since tubular bells?
