Amy Lee is the most talented female vocalist in the last 20 years.

When the band had Lee, Moody and Hodges they were at their peak, IMHO.

Hodges's stuff is more pop, but with more depth...he has gone on to write a ton of pop hits
His Trading Yesterday band had so much potential

Here is Shattered from an album that the record company didn't release until years later when it didn't matter and this version of the video has over 4 million views...

Evanescence are coming back in Fall, with Synthesys, a new album, which will contain reworked old material and two new songs.
This is Bring me to life's new version... what do you think about it? I don't like it...
It is amazingly sung, but the music does not fit the song, in my opinion.

I loved Evanescence when they first came out because they were original to me. I saw them in concert 10 years ago. Now there are too many other bands trying to emulate them. The problem with Lacuna Coil, Nightwish and Within Temptation is that they all sound very similar to Evanescence. Soon this genre will be all played out like disco and shoegaze.

That first album was frickin' amazing, thanks to Amy's vocals and Ben's writing.

I really don't like anything from the band after Ben left. I prefer the band he did called We Are The Fallen, even though Carly isn't quite on the vocal level of Amy, the writing is there.
